Birth Work
Birth Doulas provide emotional support and experience for people on during their journey to parenthood. We provide a continuation of care by meeting with the parent(s) ahead of time to discuss birth preferences, swap resources, and share hopes and goals. Doulas attend the entire birth process and provide nonjudgmental and informed care
Doulas like myself have been trained in non-medical methods of easing and continuing labour. We work with partners, midwives, and medical staff to facilitate a birthing experience that aligns with your goals and leaves you feeling confident and satisfied.
Although I cannot provide medical advice or make decisions for you, I will work to ensure you understand the procedures occurring until you reach a place of informed consent.
“If you can find one in your area, doulas are sympathetic and knowledgeable labor companions… The doula’s job is to make you as comfortable as possible and to reassure your partner as well. The evidence in favor of doulas comes from more than eleven carefully designed studies: having a doula also shortens labor by greatly reducing stress, pain, and anxiety.

My Services
A Birth contract involves two pre-birth meetings to discuss birth preferences and online support leading up to the birth. I will be "on-call" 24/7 beginning 10 days before your due date until your baby is born. I attend labour from the time I'm invited until the family is settled. Lastly, we have a post-birth meeting a few days later to review the experience and build a birth story.
Pricing
Birth Doula
$1200
Half of the cost is paid upon booking, to reserve my time, and the other half is due at 36 weeks.
Because I am still working on my certification, I am flexible on my regular fee.
I am building my experience and I am eager to attend a wide variety of births. If you are interested in my services, but the cost is a barrier, please reach out regardless and we can discuss your situation.
