Postpartum Work
Postpartum Doulas provide an extra pair of skilled, rested hands to the monumental task of caring for a newborn and birther. This support can look like household cleaning, meal preparation, caring for older children, and of course caring for the newborn(s). The underlying motivation of these tasks is to relieve the birther from stress and tasks, so they can focus on themselves and their newborn.
Since I was young, I have loved opportunities to care for infants. Now that I am grown, I also have a love for the satisfaction of cleaning, making a good meal, and leaving someone in a better place than when I found them.
Allowing someone into your home is difficult, and the newborn period is emotional and tiring. My goal as your postpartum doula is to be a capable friend whom you can command to do chores; trustworthy, attentive, and discreet.

About Me
Postpartum Doulas do not necessarily take over the care of the baby. The birther sets the tasks for the Doula based on what is most helpful and comfortable for them, in service to the household as a whole. This may be newborn care or may be everything except the baby! Whatever chores will relieve the birther of the most stress. In this way, care is very individualized.
Pricing
These hours are based on daytime hours, minimum four-hour shifts. Overnight shifts are minimum 8-hours and cost slightly more than the daytime hours. A number of nights can be added on top of each time package, or booked independently if only nights are required.
For example, 20-hours and two nights = 36 hours total, totaling $1'200.
I am still working on my certification and I am eager for both experience and connections to my local community. If the cost is a barrier, please reach out and we can discuss the situation.
